And, many times, the initial person you are linked with doesn’t have the technical knowledge to resolve more complex issues, or aren’t even aware of many common problems that those who follow tech know about.
The “Geniuses” at the store are very limited on what they can do, and are bound by what pops up on their screen (unless you get a manager involved, which I always do). Yeah, a friend of mine-who recently just switched back to Apple-and I were just talking about Louis (Rossman) yesterday I can understand both sides of the Right To Repair situation, and like I told my friend, it also depends on if you get your device repaired at an Apple Store vs sending it off to Apple’s repair center, as center operates more like an authorized repair center (go figure).
